Today is 23rd July. The following first records for the Western Palearctic were found on this date:

Yellow-headed Blackbird
Hafnarnes í Nesjum, A-Skaft, Iceland.
Remained until the following day when it was collected. First category A record. Some earlier records, e.g. Denmark 1918, Norway 1979 & Texel 1982 may well be genuine vagrants
