Kenfig Pool, Mid Glamorgan, Wales.

First confirmed record of the nominate North American race although earlier European records possibly of this race also

Kumlien's Gull

24th November, 1869.

Black Ness, near Stromness, Orkney, Scotland.

Killed. Specimen discovered in the Natural History Museum, Tring in 1997 when exact identity was established and accepted by the BOURC. Location sometimes erroneously given as Shetland
