Pale-legged or Sakhalin Leaf Warbler

Southwell, Portland, Dorset, England.

Despite very good pictures of the individual being taken, it has not been possible to specifically identify the bird. Its behaviour slightly favours Sakhalin Leaf Warbler

Northern Harrier

Porthellick Down, St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly, England.

North American race of Hen Harrier, aka Marsh Hawk. Remained until the following 8th June 1983 around several of the islands. Earlier claims of this form in the UK not accepted by the BOU.
